First Landers Superstore in Western Visayas to open in Megaworld's The Upper East

The store, sitting on a 2.5-hectare property, will feature unique design and sustainability elements, and will be directly connected to the soon-to-rise Upper East Mall

Landers Superstore, the fastest-growing membership shopping store in the country, is expanding its reach in the Visayas region with a new store inside Megaworld’s The Upper East township in Bacolod City. This will be the first Landers Superstore in Western Visayas, and the second one outside of Luzon.

The store will occupy a 25,000-square meter or 2.5-hectare property along Upper East Avenue, just across the two latest residential condominium developments, Two Regis and Herald Parksuites, as well as the upcoming BPO office towers.

This premier membership shopping store will be directly connected to the west wing of the soon-to-rise three-level Upper East Mall via a 30-meter long bridgeway, which will come equipped with a walkalator to allow greater mobility for customers even with their grocery carts in tow. It will also feature its own Caltex Gas Station, where members can enjoy unrivaled exclusive discounts on fuel products.

Another particular highlight of Landers Upper East will be its expansive parking area, which will be designed to accommodate more than 300 vehicles at a time. The facility will be integrated into an area of the township where centuries-old trees are preserved. Permeable paver blocks will be used for the ground surface of the parking area for better rainwater retention.

The store will also have a host of sustainable features, including high bay LED lighting fixtures and energy efficient air-conditioning units. It will also be equipped with backup emergency power, as well as a rainwater collector system that will allow the collection and harvesting of water for later use.

“We are very happy and excited to host another Landers in our township. This time, inside The Upper East township in Bacolod, which is envisioned to be Bacolod’s newest central business district. This will be one of our anchor commercial establishments that will be directly connected to our iconic Upper East Mall,” says Graham Coates, first vice president and head of Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.

A partnership of two leaders

Landers continues its long and fruitful partnership with Megaworld to bring this project to life. Targeted to open by March 2023, the Bacolod branch is the fourth Landers store under Megaworld, after Landers Alabang West, Landers Arcovia City and Landers Uptown Bonifacio.

“Our strategic partnership with Landers has gone a long way. They are an important component of our rising modern townships,” adds Coates.

The Upper East’s prime location will draw in thousands of people to live, work, and play in its affluent spaces. Landers looks forward to settling in the heart of this exciting community and catering to the diverse needs of its future populace.

Bringing SUPER to Bacolod City

Landers is thrilled to call Bacolod City as its second home in Visayas. Bacolod stood out among other cities in the region for its tremendous economic growth over the years and its solid reputation as one of the most business-friendly cities in the country. The retail chain also noted the increasing demand for premium goods and experiences from the city’s growing population, ensuring a steady market for its core business.

Aside from bringing in huge investments, Landers will also be providing valuable employment to the local workforce. The opening of this new branch is expected to generate about 500 jobs from construction phase to its full launch.

Landers Bacolod

Landers has been contributing to Bacolod's development and growth even before it launched its store expansion through its partnership with the Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) Foundation. They spearheaded numerous outreach activities in Bacolod and the rest of Western Visayas under the Mingo Meals Nutritional Support Program. For the past three years, Landers donated P485,384 worth of Mingo meals that fed 62,916 children from underserved areas in the province.

Through these efforts, Landers proves that it is not only a one-stop shop for premium local and international products, but also one of the leading developers of dynamic communities in the country.

Membership shopping at its finest

For the past six years, Landers has fulfilled its promise of providing an elevated shopping experience for Filipino families. Within its stores, members will find an expansive selection of the best products from around the world. Landers has also made a name in the retail scene for pioneering promotional events like the Super Crazy Sale and the Super Fuel Sale, guaranteeing regular savings for its members.

Meanwhile, its in-house restaurant, bakery, and café– Landers Central, Dough & Co., and Doppio – allow members to indulge in superb food and beverages to top off their great shopping experience.

Members may also access Landers online through or via the Landers Superstore app. These platforms offer added convenience by allowing members to enjoy their store favorites anytime, anywhere. Additional membership perks include discounted fuel at the Landers-Caltex gas station, low-priced medicine from Capital Care Pharmacy, and free haircut from Federal Barbers.

“Landers assures the people of Bacolod that this new store will definitely be worth the wait. Residents and visitors of the City of Smiles will have more reasons to smile because they can finally enjoy Landers’ full range of topnotch products, great deals, and exclusive perks closer to home,” says Landers in its official statement.
